Karabakh is an area rich in historical and cultural monuments, literature, art and music. The Karabakh region, which has such a colorful character, is also accepted with interest by a number of scientists around the world. The historical and cultural heritage of Karabakh and other surrounding regions is in fact an invaluable treasure for the Turkic world. This heritage is based on the characteristics of the peoples of Turkish origin. The destruction and misappropriation of various works of art, manuscripts, works of art, monuments, in short, this rich treasure by our hated neighbors is a great blow to Turkish culture and history in general, as well as to human culture in general.

Aghoghlan Monastery

Aghoghlan Monastery, also known as Sisarnavank, is a basilica dating back to the 5th–6th centuries, located in the Lachin district, on the banks of the Aghoghlan River, near the Azerbaijan-Armenia border. The monastery is situated in the historical Khachen region, bordering the province of Syunik. According to legend, the monastic complex was built on the site of an older polytheistic temple. In Christian belief, the monastery once housed a relic of Saint George.

Khudavang Monastery

Khudavang Monastery is a historical and architectural monument of Caucasian Albania located in the village of Vang in the Kalbajar district. It has been registered as a monument of global significance by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Professor G. Mammadova, who has studied the architectural features of the temple, notes that Khudavang Monastery is the largest monastic complex within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

LOST MONUMENTS OF HISTORY
